On April 23rd, VIGAN Group took part in the national conference “From Idea to Impact – Patents Driving Startups and University Success in Albania”, organized by the General Directorate of Industrial Property (GDIP) in collaboration with the European Patent Office (EPO), GIZ Albania, ICC Albania, and CCI France-Albanie.
Our CEO, Arjodita Mustali, was invited to moderate the panel “Empowering Startups through Patents: Opportunities and Challenges”, where she facilitated a thoughtful and strategic dialogue on how intellectual property (IP) can support long-term startup growth.
Key Focus Points from the Panel:
- Entrepreneurial education must be directly connected to market demands and real business ecosystems.
- Startups require more than ideas — they need strategic structure, clear positioning, and long-term orientation.
- Innovation without legal protection remains vulnerable, regardless of its potential.
Why Patents Matter for Business Development:
- They convert ideas into protected business assets that can be invested in, licensed, or scaled.
- They offer credibility and leverage with investors, clients, and international partners.
- They are a strategic bridge between academic knowledge and market-ready innovation.
VIGAN Group’s Commitment:
This discussion underlined the role that structured development plays in startup success. At VIGAN Group, we work closely with early-stage and growing businesses to help them build solid foundations for sustainable growth — including strategic guidance, operational clarity, and asset protection.
We extend our thanks to the organizers and international partners for creating a platform that elevates the conversation around IP and innovation in Albania.
