Why does Google Keyword Ranking Still Matter for SEO?

SEO formerly known as Search Engine Optimisation is not a tough task though. However, implementing it is getting harder due to the increasing number of websites indexing on Google. There are millions of sites out there and everyone is performing SEO techniques to increase their rank on SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages) . That’s the reason why it is becoming very hard to do SEO.

One more reason behind its increasing difficulty is the change in Google’s algorithm. As there are tons of websites indexing day by day and everyone is trying to implement SEO via different SEO techniques, Google is continuously making changes to its algorithm to improve their Search Engines Results.

After the recent changes in Google’s Algorithm, Google has completely altered the methods we use to rank our sites on SERPs. Now, performing the old SEO techniques is not enough to rank your sites in SERPs, but you also need to perform some more actions. One of the most important among them is that you need to have good content. As you know, “Content is the King” of your site. If you have good and highly engaging content, no matter how you select your keywords, Google will rank you high in Results.

So, to rank higher in SERPs, you need to have great content on your site, in addition to all old SEO techniques. This way, you’ll surely rank your site higher in SERPs.

Ranking provides a sense of how your content is doing. Rankings vary for several reasons, including:

Changes in algorithms
Competing websites that add SEO elements and/or expand their content
Search engine results pages – SERPs (Google, for example, shows everything from featured snippets to People Also Ask)
Personalization, including user behavior and settings that influence what people see

How to make the most of keyword rankings? This is it:
1. Start with a manageable list
It doesn’t make sense to waste time making and evaluating thousands of keywords while you only care about a fraction of them.
2. Make sure the keywords are relevant
Marketers still make poor decisions with SEO. They insist on targeting keyword phrases that are too competitive or rarely searched.
3. Use multiple tools
Thankfully, there are a ton of free tools in the SEO world. We will suggest some of them that will bring real results:
Google Analytics is to the online marketer like air is to the human being.
Google Search Console focus of the tool has to do with “search” and “optimization.”
Ubersugest is an all-in-one SEO tool designed to help your page rank higher and drive the right traffic.
4. Correlate key information
Keyword rankings don’t mean much unless you study other data as well. Ranking tools provide the corresponding page URL and average search volume from Google. Additionally, I compare that information with the top organic landing pages in Google Analytics to identify opportunities
5. Modify your keywords
Sometimes you need to hit delete.
6. Reassign keywords
Congestion is one of the biggest problems with keyword rankings. When you look at keywords, rankings, and page URLs, you often see dozens if not hundreds of keywords attracted to one page.
7. Don’t neglect your conversion data
Calls to action and conversion data vary widely among B2C and B2B companies. It is possible to know how your organic pages come through (or miss the mark) for your brand. Track metrics like:
Sales
Leads
Event registrations
Demos
White paper requests
PDF downloads
8. Use keywords in headlines
Writing compelling headlines that also help rank your website through the use of targeted keywords is an art.
9. Remember, keywords set the stage
Just like the headline, your page or post is surely made up of words.
When you write, do you actually give any thought to your choice of words? How about the probability your content has to show up on a search engine, due to these words or absence thereof?

Bear in mind, the road to success is paved with well- researched keywords!
